Happy Thanksgiving



I know. It's official. I suck as a blogger.

And I know. That's not a picture of a turkey. It's a picture of a lobster.

That's because we're not having turkey for Thanksgiving...we're having lobster.

Yum.

It's perfectly possible that lobsters were part of the first Thanksgiving. They're pretty thick on the ground up there in the Northeast...

...so much so that they were, until Diamond Jim Brady made it fashionable to eat 'em, considered trash. Canadians tell me that in the old days, the rich kids would bring bologna sandwiches to school (meat!) while the poor ones would have to eat lobster. Lobster also was used as fertilizer.

I think Thanksgiving lobster is a great idea. You could even make some turkey stuffing for it.
