I'm back!

Uh...actually, I haven't been anywhere. Just haven't been posting like I used to. Truthfully, I can't imagine that anyone would be interested in what some fat, middle-aged woman has to say.

So I haven't said anything.

I think that's better than posting drivel, don't you? It should be a blogger rule...if you can't post anything other than drivel, don't post at all.

Ok, so most of this is drivel. But I'll throw in some pretty pictures to make up for it, 'k?

As always, click on the photo to enlarge.

Pink

This season's hibiscus (or seabiscuit as da Zigster calls it) is loooving the heat and humidity. Unlike moi. Moi does not like it, no, no, no she does not.

More pink

Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky at dawn, sailor's be warned.

Out for a Sunday paddle

As always, da boyz keep us entertained. I swear...it's like having a couple toddlers in the house.

So, it's been pretty quiet around the River Rat Retreat so far this summer. The river's been pretty high all spring/summer, but it finally got low enough for us to get the boat in a couple weeks ago. We've been out in it enough for me to have developed a nice, healthy-looking glow. I know, I know...don't bother saying it...it won't be so healthy-looking when I develop skin cancer.

I could comment on all the crap that's been going on
  • locally
  • . I'll just say that if anybody thinks this was just
  • kids being kids
  • , they need to think again. You watch...it's gonna get worse. And that's all I have to say about that.

I could comment on the Casey Anthony debacle. But I'm afraid my head would explode if I think too long about it.

I could comment on the state of these United States. Again with the exploding head.

It's just healthier for me to post pretty pictures. heh

Great pictures, good to have you back.

Honestly, its not what any of us say, its just that we are out here saying something.

Pammy, I'm happy to read your life on the river and look forward to your stories. When I get back to your time zone again, I'm going to come by and say hi.
